Known for their mutual admiration and support, the two stars were seen bonding during what Samantha described as a lunch that stretched all the way till sunset.

On Sunday, Samantha shared her June photo dump on Instagram, and the first picture immediately stole the spotlight. In the photo, she’s seen affectionately holding Keerthy Suresh close as they pose for a sweet selfie.

The duo seemed to be enjoying each other’s company while indulging in a fruit pudding. Captioning the post, Samantha wrote, “Sat down for lunch, stood up at sunset,” capturing the essence of a day well spent with a close friend.

Fans of both actresses were ecstatic over the surprise moment. Flooding the comments section with love, one fan wrote, “Sam and Keerthy was unexpected! After a long time.”

Another chimed in, “Two beauties in one frame,” while others called it the “perfect combo” and a union of “too much talent in one frame.” Many also praised their natural chemistry and hoped to see them collaborate on screen someday.

The admiration isn’t one-sided. In an earlier interview with Galatta India, Keerthy revealed that Samantha was instrumental in her casting for Baby John, her 2024 Bollywood debut opposite Varun Dhawan.

The film is a Hindi remake of Theri, where Samantha originally played the same role. Speaking about Samantha’s support, Keerthy said, “She probably had me in mind when this was happening; that’s what Varun also told me. I can’t be grateful enough for that. It’s so sweet of her to say, ‘Keerthy will be able to pull off this character.’ Her performance in Theri is one of my favourites in Tamil.
