Before becoming the OG voice of Bollywood, she sang for Marathi films, and her first break came with the song "Naachu Yaa Gade, Khelu Saari Mani Haus Bhaari" in the Marathi film 'Kiti Hasaal (1942)', when she was just 13 years old.
