Plane Crashes Into Building In Connecticut, Police Ask People To Avoid Area

Farmington: An area in the town of Farmington, Connecticut, is being evacuated after a plane crashed into a building on Hyde Road.

The Farmington Police asked the people to avoid the area so that emergency crews can evacuate the immediate area.

“We are responding to a plane crash into a building at 111 Hyde Rd. Media can stage at the intersection of New Britain Ave and Hyde Rd for now.  Any updates will be on our Twitter page. Please avoid the area so emergency crews can evacuate the immediate area,” Farmington CT Police tweeted.

According to reports, the plane crashed into the ground before hitting a building at 111 Hyde Rd, an industrial machine manufacturing company.

The building is about a mile from the Robertson Airport in Plainville, the airport from which the plane had departed from shortly before the crash, according to police.

Firefighters were working to douse the flames

It was not immediately clear how many people were on the plane at the time of the crash. Neither there is any confirmation on exact number of casualties.
