Pakistani actress-singer Reshma shot dead by husband

The incident took place earlier this month, when following a domestic dispute, the suspect entered the house and started firing at his wife.

New Delhi: In a shocking incident, a Pakistani female artiste was shot dead allegedly by her husband in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The singer and actress named Reshma belonged to the Pashtun community and used to work in Pashto films and songs. According to a report by Geo TV Reshma was the fourth wife of her husband. She, however, used to live with her brother at her parents' residence in city’s Hakimabad area. The incident took earlier this month,when following a domestic dispute, the suspect entered the house and started firing at his wife. He then managed to escape the crime scene. Police has registered the case and an investigation into the matter has started. Reshma had also acted in the famous Pakistani drama 'Zhobal Goluna'. This is fifteenth act of violence against female artists in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. It was in February , when a stage actress named Sunbul was shot dead after she refused to go to a private party with the accused.
