Jharkhand: Two Class 10 Students Suspended For Murder Of Their Classmate, Police Forms SIT

The Police has lodged a murder case against unknown persons and had formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe the matter. 

New Delhi: Two students of class 10 from a private school were suspended in Jharkhand’s Dhanbad on Friday, two days after murder of their classmates, reported news agnecy PTI.

The 15-year-old boy was allegedly thrashed by some of his classmates on Wednesday in the classroom, following which he was found unconscious. When taken to the hospital by his father, doctors there declared him brought dead.

The father of the deceased boy, a student of class 10, held the school responsible for the incident and alleged that his son was been beaten up regularly by over last few days by his classmates and that they have murdered his son.

Slain student’s father, on Wednesday, had said that he received a call from the school principal saying that his son had fallen sick. 

"When I reached the school I found him unconscious. I immediately took him to Shahid Nirmal Mahto Medical College and Hospital where doctors declared him dead," he said.

The whole incident was caught on a CCTV camera.

The principal of the English-medium school in Sindri said that two students have been suspended and that the school authority has taken the incident seriously.

Tension prevailed in Sindri town over the incident, with parents and political parties continuing their protest at the school gate, reported PTI. 

The school is closed for three days to mourn the death of the student.

The boy's family hails from Odisha and his father is a senior officer at a cement factory in Sindri.
