Weather Forecast: These States/UTs To Receive Heavy Rainfall Next Week — Check Full IMD Prediction
The weather office said the conditions are becoming favourable for further withdrawal of southwest monsoon from some more parts of Gujarat and Chhattisgarh, PTI reported.
New Delhi: Very heavy rainfall to heavy rainfall is expected to take place in isolated areas of some states and Union Territory in the next few days, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted on Saturday.
Issuing orange alert for seven districts in Kerala, the IMD said the southwest monsoon has withdrawn from some more parts of Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh.

Below is a list of states and Union Territories expected to receive rainfall next week:
Andaman and Nicobar Islands:
Light to moderate rainfall at most places with isolated thunder squall in Andaman and Nicobar Islands besides heavy to very heavy falls likely during the next five days.
Maharashtra:
During the next five days, fairly widespread to widespread light to moderate rain is very likely over southern peninsular India and over Maharashtra.
Tamil Nadu:
The southern state of Tamil Nadu is expected to witness isolated heavy falls during the next five days.
Karnataka:
According to the weather department, isolated heavy falls will take place over coastal Karnataka from October 11 to 13 and over the state’s north interior on October 10, 12 and 13.
Kerala:
Kerala will witness isolated very heavy rainfall during October 11 to 13. In tune with the same, an orange alert has also been issued for Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam and Idukki.
This is for the third consecutive year that India has recorded rainfall in the normal or above normal category.
The rainfall over the country was 110 per cent in June and 93 percent in July and 76 percent in August respectively.
