'Not Arrested, He Has Been Saved,' Slain DSP Devendra Mishra's Relative Raises Question On Vikas Dubey's Capture

Vikas Dubey Arrest: As Vikas Dubey, the notorious history-sheeter of Uttar Pradesh got arrested, a relative of DSP Devendra Mishra who lost his life in Dubey’s Kanpur shootout has raised questions over his capture. Kamalakant Dubey, the relative of DSP Mishra has alleged that the entire arrest episode was pre-fixed. He said that it should not be viewed as an arrest and now Vikas Dubey has been saved from being killed. “He freely buys ticket for darshan in Mahakal temple despite police being on alert. Arrest or surrender? Amid several questions that have emerged over the arrest of Vikas Dubey, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav asked the government to clarify whether it was a surrender or an arrest. He also demanded the call details record of Vikas to be revealed so that his underground links can be exposed. “It is reported that the main culprit of the Kanpur case, is in police custody. If this is true then the government should clear whether it is surrender or arrest. Also make the CDR of his mobile public so that true collusion can be busted,” Akhilesh tweeted.   Vikas Dubey was carrying a bounty of Rs 5 lakh on his name. Dubey and his men had shot and killed eight policemen of Kanpur when they tried to raid his residence in Bikru village last week. The policemen, including a deputy superintendent of police, were ambushed in Bikru village in the Chaubeypur area of Kanpur, where they had gone to arrest Vikas Dubey and fell to bullets fired from rooftops last Friday.
