Gangster Vikas Dubey Visited Mahakaal Temple Hoping Lord Shiva Will Protect Him From Imminent Arrest & Death

The history-sheeter Vikas Dubey was arrested today by police officers when he visited Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga temple in Ujjain. He had hoped that Lord Shiva might protect him from being arrested or getting gunned down in an encounter.

New Delhi: After almost 6 days, the notorious history-sheeter Vikas Dubey was arrested today at the Mahakal temple in Ujjain. The gangster and his close aides are firm believers in Lord Shiva and had hoped that visiting God could offer protection from impending arrest and death. The Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga located in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh is a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva and is considered to be one of the sacred abodes of Shiva. Due to coronavirus cases, several security measures are at a place in the temple and not everyone is allowed inside the temple premises. Dubey had entered the temple at around 8.30 am and paid Rs 250 for puja items before entering the premises. A security guard had asked him to remove his face mask and that is when he was recognized and caught. Dubey had hoped that Lord Shiva might save him from being arrested after his gang had massacred 8 policemen in Kanpur. It is reported that Dubey also wears an amulet or a ‘kawach’ of Goddess Durga. In fact, the entire gang are devotees of Lord Shiva and regularly visit Shiva temples. According to reports, Vikas Dubey, whose five close aides have been killed by police in separate encounters, feared being encountered in a similar fashion, as police across the region, including Uttar Pradesh, Delhi-NCR and Madhya Pradesh were on an alert vigil after they were notified about his escape. With defiance still in his voice, despite being grabbed by cops, Dubey could be heard shouting, "I am Vikas Dubey, the one from Kanpur,"(Main Vikas Dubey Hoon, Kanpur Wala) as he was being taken by police in the vehicle.
