The court stated that if the survivors or their family members wish to go out of Delhi in connection with an ongoing or pending case they must communicate with Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Assistant Commandant so that proper security arrangements can be provided to them.

"Go out only when necessary. You must take precautions until the case is over," the court was quoted by ANI.

In her application, the victim stated that she and her family were being harassed by their personal security officers who were deployed to protect the family. She also stated that she was not allowed to enjoy her personal liberties. The court noted that security officers and the victim have agreed to resolve the issue peacefully.

Rape-accused Uttar Pradesh MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar was sentenced to life imprisonment for raping the minor survivor, and nine others. Sengar is in Tihar jail since being convicted. He was disqualified as a member of the Uttar Pradesh legislative assembly last year in February.

In April this year, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) had also withdrawn the candidature of Sangeeta Sengar, the wife of former MLA and Unnao rape convict Kuldeep Sengar, from the Uttar Pradesh panchayat polls.
