Three Terrorists Killed, One Policeman Injured In Two Separate Encounters In Jammu & Kashmir

In a separate incident, a policeman was injured during an encounter in Anantnag district. He was rushed to a hospital.

New Delhi: Three terrorists were killed by security forces during an encounter in the Mirhama area of Kulgam district in Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday. 

The encounter started when security forces launched a cordon and search operation in Mirhama area of Kulgam after they received intelligence about the presence of militants, PTI reported.

As the forces were conducting the searches, militants fired upon them and an encounter ensued.

As the forces retaliated, three militants were killed. The identity and group affiliation of the slain militants are being ascertained, PTI quoted an official as saying.

In another incident, a policeman was injured during an encounter in Nowgam Shahabad area of Dooru in Anantnag district. He was rushed to a hospital.
