Earlier this month, a militant targeted a moving vehicle of security forces in the Khanyar area of Jammu and Kashmir's Srinagar but failed to afflict any injuries. The lone militant fired shots from his pistol, aiming at a CRPF (Central Reserve Police Force) vehicle in the vicinity of Khwaja Bazaar chowk at approximately 7:00 pm, news agency PTI reported officials as saying.
Following the attack, the perpetrator hastily retreated from the scene. There were no casualties or injuries resulting from the incident. Srinagar Police provided details, stating, "There was an attempted attack by a pistol-wielding terrorist on a BP vehicle of CRPF in Khanyar area, which was repelled by alert personnel.
The terrorist was chased away by personnel, who exhibited wise restraint due to the potential for collateral damage. No injuries to life or property have been reported."
