Reminder Of Sacrifices By Victims Fighting Against Congress's Dictatorial Mentality: JP Nadda
Union Minister JP Nadda posted on X that June 25 will remind Indians of the importance of democracy every year and how victims suffered due to "Congress's dictatorial mentality".
"June 25, 1975, was a dark day when the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi's dictatorial mentality imposed 'Emergency' on the country, murdering the democracy enshrined in our Constitution. The central government has decided to observe June 25th every year as 'Constitution Murder Day.' This day will remind us of the sacrifices and dedication of all our great leaders who suffered and passed away while fighting against the Congress's dictatorial mentality to protect the Constitution and restore democracy. I express my gratitude to the Prime Minister for this decision, which will remind us of the importance of democracy every year,"
