Do Not Sack Employees, Extend Help To Poor: PM Modi To Establishments
While balancing life with livelihood, PM Narendra Modi said those places which have lesser chances of infection will be given a limited access for operating activities.
New Delhi, April 14: In his address to the nation on Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has asked the nation to strictly adhere to the lockdown measures even as the PM has allowed graded relaxation in which activities will be allowed to resume after April 20th.
On stressing the need to look after poor, PM said, ”Poor of this country is my family and the priority is to ensure that their pain are addressed. Till 20th April every state, district, locality will be assessed and some important activities will be allowed to resume after that keeping in mind the livelihood of poor and especially, daily wage earners.”
"If you look at it from the economic point of view, it would look like a huge cost. But the lives of the people of India is far more valuable. Today the world is appreciating the way India is moving forward," Modi said in his third televised speech.
He also appealed to private and public establishments to not sack anyone and ensure empathy with employees during this tough time.
"It is also rabi season and farmers have to cut their agricultural produce, hence, the new guidelines will be made keeping in mind their situation and problems. It will make sure that they have to face little difficulties and essentials from medicines to ration have been made available. There will be efforts to solve the supply chain issues and health infrastructure is also being improved,"
