Only Kejriwal Can Challenge Modi, BJP: AAP Takes A Dig As Prashant Kishor Meets Congress Leadership

“Congress is like a dead horse, there is no point flogging a dead horse,” he added.

New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Rajya Sabha MP-elect Raghav Chadha on Saturday said the Congress cannot give an alternative to the country, adding only Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal can challenge Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

“Congress Party cannot give an alternative to the country. Only Arvind Kejriwal can challenge PM Narendra Modi and BJP,” ANI quoted Chadha as saying on poll strategist Prashant Kishor’s meeting with the Congress leaders.

“Congress is like a dead horse, there is no point flogging a dead horse,” he added.

Taking potshots at the BJP, the AAP leader said the saffron party will never make good schools for the people because it needs armies of illiterate goons.

“They won't even generate employment opportunities, if they do so then how will they get lumpen elements for carrying out their violent agenda,” he added.

Chadha’s remarks come as Congress president Sonia Gandhi earlier in the day held discussions with her party leaders at her official 10, Janpath residence in the national capital.

Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi, Ambika Soni, Digvijaya Singh, Mallikarjun Kharge, KC Venugopal and Ajay Maken were among those who attended the meeting.

Besides, poll strategist Prashant Kishor was also present at the Congress president’s residence amid renewed buzz about joining the grand old party.

The meeting assumes significance as the Congress is mulling the reasons for the debacle faced in the five state assembly polls held last month.

In a bid to improve the performance in the upcoming state elections, the grand old party had earlier decided to call a Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting ahead of the 'Chintan Shivir' to chalk out the party's future strategy.
