Novel Coronavirus: India’s Second Case Reported In Kerala; 323 More Indians Airlifted From China

India's first novel coronavirus case in India was also reported from Kerala with a student from China’s Wuhan University testing positive.

New Delhi: The second case of the novel coronavirus in India has been confirmed in Kerala, the Union Health Ministry announced on Sunday. As per the Ministry, the patient has been kept in isolation, was currently stable and being closely monitored. The patient has a travel history from China, it added. India's first novel coronavirus case in India was also reported from Kerala with a student from China’s Wuhan University testing positive. Meanwhile, Sir India’s second special flight from China's Wuhan landed at the Indira Gandhi International Delhi airport on Sunday morning, with 323 Indian nationals and 7 Maldives citizens. In Uttarakhand, woman suspected to be infected with coronavirus has been admitted to All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Rishikesh. The woman is being treated and is kept under observation. She had recently returned to the country from China's Wuhan city, the epicentre of the deadly coronavirus outbreak which has already claimed 304 lives. Earlier on Saturday, India evacuated 324 Indian nationals, including three minors and 211 students, from Wuhan in a special Air India flight. The death toll in China's coronavirus has jumped to 304 with the number of cases climbing to 14,380, Chinese health officials said on Sunday. By the end of Saturday, a total of 304 people had died of the disease and 14,380 confirmed cases of novel coronavirus infection had been reported in 31 provincial-level regions in China, the National Health Commission (NHC) said in its daily report.
