Monsoon Update: Rainfall Expected In Delhi And Surrounding Areas 

The Indian Meteorological Department has forecast light showers or drizzle in the adjoining areas of North Delhi, North-East Delhi, and North-West Delhi.

New Delhi: The rains in Delhi are likely to continue today. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast rain in many parts of Delhi. According to IMD, there is a possibility of light showers or drizzle at isolated places and adjoining areas in North Delhi, North-East Delhi, North-West Delhi, and Sonepat (Haryana).

Delhi also received heavy rain on Monday. The Indian Meteorological Department had also issued a yellow alert on Monday and Tuesday, expressing the possibility of heavy rains. The wind speed in Delhi today is likely to be around 10 kmph. The maximum temperature recorded in Delhi is 31 degrees Celsius, and the minimum temperature is expected to be 29 degrees Celsius.

People face many problems due to rain

On Monday, it started raining in Delhi and surrounding areas in the morning. Due to heavy rains in Delhi-NCR, people faced problems. The roads were flooded, and the vehicles moved slowly. People had to face many difficulties when they stepped out of their homes. People using public transport had to face more problems.  

Heavy rains led to waterlogging in many areas of Delhi, disrupting traffic and causing inconvenience to motorists. Long queues of vehicles were seen due to waterlogging on the road near AIIMS, around Aurobindo Marg, Mandi House, and ITO. Let us tell you that the monsoon usually arrives in the national capital till June 27, but this time it has come with a delay of 16 days.
