New Delhi: The Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) vice-chancellor and other officials have come out of office after being gheraoed since yesterday by protesters.
Delhi's Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) is in the news after one of its students has gone missing.
Anger with the lackluster attitude of JNU administration, students had staged demonstration entire last night inside the campus.
It had been 23 hours since students had gheraoed the vice-chancellor and other officers, forcing them to remain in their offices. Students alleged that university administration is not taking the matter seriously.
"We are inside our offices since 20 hours, if students continue to protest, we have to call police", said Mamidala Jagadesh Kumar, VC, to the ABP News channel.
However, late night and today, VC has issued a statement and assured that everything is being done to locate the missing student.
Najeeb Ahmed, one of the students of the university, is missing since October 15. JNU student union has alleged that university administration has ignored the incident.
