Indore Will Remember Dec 25 As Day When Workers Got Justice: PM Modi
PM Narendra Modi congratulated the workers after handing over cheques worth Rs 224 crore dues of the Hukumchand Mill workers.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday said the people of Indore will remember Dec 25 as the day when the workers got justice as he handed over cheques worth about Rs 224 crore dues of the Hukumchand Mill workers in Indore. He said he knew how they faced several difficulties, and added that now they have a bright future.
"I congratulate you all for this program organised on the occasion of 'Good Governance Day'...Today cheques worth about Rs 224 crores have been handed over. In the coming days, this money will reach our workers. I know you have faced several difficulties. But now, you have a bright future. People of Indore will remember Dec 25 as the day when the workers got justice," the Prime Minister said.
He was virtually speaking at the 'Mazdooron Ka Hit Mazdooron ko Samarpit' event in Indore where he also laid the foundation stone of the 60 MW Solar power plant being established in villages Samraj and Ashukhedi of Khargone district by Indore Municipal Corporation. He also handed over cheques worth about Rs 224 crore to the Hukumchand Mill workers, the official liquidator and heads of the Labour Union of Hukumchand Mill, in Indore.

The PM said that several cities of MP including Indore are coming out as a great example of balance between environment and development. "...Asia's largest Gobar-Dhan (Bio-CNG) Plant is being operated in Indore...Today's program is the result of the dreams and resolution of our workers..." he said.
He called the event "special" as it was organised on the birth anniversary of former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Good Governance Day. "We all are aware about his love for Madhya Pradesh," he said.
