Amid rumours of a Maharashtra-style situation forming in Bihar, where certain JD(U) MLAs are unhappy with Nitish Kumar, senior BJP leader Sushil Modi warned on Monday that if the party splits, there is no way the Bihar Chief Minister would be able to rejoin the NDA, news agency ANI reported.
After leaving the BJP last year, Union Home Minister Amit Shah proclaimed Kumar a persona non grata "forever" to the NDA.

Meanwhile, Union minister Ramdas Athawale made a huge assertion on Monday, claiming that a Maharashtra-like situation might emerge in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh due to tensions between MLAs of Nitish Kumar's Janata Dal United and Akhilesh Yadav's Samajwadi Party.
Speaking with ANI, Athawale stated: "A similar situation (like currently in Maharashtra) can arise in Bihar soon as some JD(U) MLAs are upset with Nitish Kumar. In Uttar Pradesh, Jayant Chaudhary can join with NDA as is currently upset with Akhilesh Yadav. There is a possibility that differences arise between MLAs of the Samajwadi Party."
