BJP takes a dig at AAP, says 'won't blame EVMs if don't get desired results'

New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Wednesday took at snipe at Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal over his allegations against tampering of EVMs used during assembly elections. Taking a dig at Kejriwal BJP said “whatever the outcome of MCD polls may be, the saffron party won’t blame the e-voting system for it”. Senior BJP leader R.P. Singh told a news agency saying, "I am hopeful that party will get more than 200 seats but whatever the outcome is we won’t blame EVM for it.” Expressing confidence of winning in the MCD polls, BJP MP Meenakshi Lekhi thanked party leaders and workers who have stepped out in the open to support the party. "Based on the exit poll results, I think BJP is going to do extremely well," Lekhi told said. "I think Delhi has gone through a lot in past couple of years and has seen through people and knows who mean business and who mean good to the purpose, and others who just muck around the governance itself," she added. The counting of votes for the Delhi Municipal Corporation (MCD) elections began at 8 a.m. on Wednesday. Votes for the elections will be counted at 35 centres across the city. Of these, 16 are in north Delhi, 13 in the south, and six in east Delhi.
