PM Modi has asked ministers to take all proposed works in electoral states on a priority basis.
Elections in UP, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Manipur, and Goa
After PM Modi's directive, all ministries are holding meetings daily. Emphasis is being laid on works especially in UP and Uttarakhand. A list of development works is also being prepared. Assembly elections are scheduled to be held in Punjab, Uttarakhand, Manipur, Goa, and Uttar Pradesh, the country's largest state.
Who is winning in the ABP-C Voter survey?
Recently, ABP-C Voter conducted surveys in these states. According to the survey, BJP may get 259 to 267 seats in Uttar Pradesh. In addition, the Samajwadi Party may get 109-117 seats, BSP 12-16 seats, Congress 3-7 seats, and Others 6-10 seats.
Moreover, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) may emerge as the largest party in Punjab. The Punjab Legislative Assembly has 117 seats. AAP is expected to win 51 to 57 seats. Congress may get 38 to 46 seats, SAD 16 to 24, BJP, and Others 0 to 1.
Uttarakhand, Goa, and Manipur
In Uttarakhand, BJP is projected to get 44 to 48 seats, Congress 19 to 23 seats, Aam Aadmi Party 0 to 4 seats, and Others 0 to 2 seats. In Goa, 22 to 26 seats are estimated to go to BJP, 3-7 seats to Congress, 4-8 seats to AAP, and 3-7 seats to Others. In Manipur, Congress may secure 18 to 22 seats, while BJP is expected to win 32 to 36 seats. The Naga People's Front (NPF) may only get 2 to 6 seats. Others are expected to have 0 to 4 seats in their account.
