Shubh Muhurt (Time) For Raksha Bandhan 2022 On August 11

Panchang predicts that Sawan Purnima Tithi will begin at 10:38 am on Thursday, August 11 and end at 7:05 am on Friday, August 12.

According to the Muhurta calculation, Abhijit Muhurta will remain on August 11 from 11.37 am to 12.29 am. As per scriptures, this is considered to be the best and auspicious time. Apart from this, on Thursday, August 11, there will be a Vijay Muhurta from 02:14 pm to 03:07 pm. So a sister can tie Rakhi to her brother during these two Muhurtas on August 11. 

On August 11, Bhadra Poonch will remain from 5:17 pm to 06.16 pm. Then till 8 pm, Bhadra Mukha will remain. Which is not an auspicious time for Rakhi. But if there is a compulsion, then you can tie Rakhi keeping in mind the time of Choghadiya.

Bhadrakal on August 11 will remain till 8:51 pm.

The Pardosh timings for Raksha Bandhan 2022 thread ceremony will start from 8.51 pm and remain till 09.13 pm.

When Should Raksha Bandhan 2022 Festival Be Celebrated? 

Raksha Bandhan festival is celebrated every year, during the full moon (Purnima) of the month of Sawan. Panchang states that the Sawan month's full moon day (Shravan/Sawan Purnima) in 2022 would begin at 10:38 am on August 11, 2022, and end at 7.05 AM on August 12, 2022. That is why people are uncertain about when to celebrate Raksha Bandhan 2022.

Raksha Bandhan 2022 is to be observed on August 11 according to the Hindu calendar, however, one can also celebrate it on August 12 because of the Bhadra period that falls on that day.
