Families can now book 'funeral services' online in Kolkata

New Delhi: A former technology enthusiast, Shruti Reddy, has started a new agency named ‘Anthyesti Funeral Services Private LTD’, in Kolkata, through which families can book funeral services online. The initiative will help the families to mourn over the deceased person, in a non-chaotic way, by peacefully organising the funeral rites. The agency takes care of all the important aspect of the cremation ceremony, from preservation of body before cremation, priests for different religions and arrangement of funeral helpers. There are different packages offered for different communities for which the services can be booked online as well. Shruti has been receiving call and requests for the funeral ceremonies almost everyday from the past six months. The start-up which was launched only six months ago is tasting success by providing their services to the families, who have lost their loved ones recently, so that they can bid good-bye to their loved ones without any stress. The agency has managed around 60 cremation ceremonies from mid-March to the end of June. Reportedly, there are people living in Kolkata, whose relatives lives far away or are NRIs, due to which, there is no one to help them in organising the funeral. This agency will support those people in every possible way, by providing the necessary services for conducting peaceful funerals.
