New Delhi: Constitution Day, also known as "National Law Day," is observed annually on November 26 in India to commemorate the adoption of the Indian Constitution. The Constituent Assembly of India enacted the Indian Constitution on November 26, 1949, and it went into effect on January 26, 1950.

1. It is the longest constitution exciting in this world:
With so much writing, the Indian Constitution is the world's longest of any sovereign country. It has a Preamble, 22 parts with 448 articles, 12 schedules, 5 appendices, and 115 amendments in its current form.
2. It is a ‘Bag of Borrowings’:
The Indian Constitution, which upholds the concepts of equality, fraternity, secularism, and so on, is frequently regarded as a collection of borrowings as a result of the incorporation of provisions from different other countries.
3. Handwritten Constitution:
Prem Behari Narain Raizada handwrote the original Indian Constitution in a flowing italic style with beautiful calligraphy. He used 254 NO.303 pen-holder nibs and it took six months to accomplish the writing. The Government of India assigned him a chamber at the Constitution House to carry out the significant assignment.
Instead of demanding a fee, he requested permission to write his name on every page of the constitution, as well as the name of his grandpa on the last page.
4. A constitution with artworks:
Our Constitution is an example of handcrafted originality. This monumental task of completing the artwork on every page of the Constitution was assigned to Acharya Nandalal Bose and his pupil in Kala Bhawan, Shanti Niketan.
Nandalal Bose painted the principal images and directed his students to create other artwork. Beohar Rammanohar Sinha, a pupil of Nandalal Bose, adorned the most important page of the Constitution, "The Preamble," commonly known as the "Face of the Constitution."
5. Total expenditure:
The document finally came into force with a total expenditure of Rupees 6.4 million.
6. Right To Vote for Indian Women:
Following the implementation of the Indian Constitution, Indian women gained the right to vote. Previously, they had been denied this right, and only men were permitted to vote.
7. Original copies of the constitution:
The original copies of the Constitution are kept in the Parliamentary Library. It is housed in a box filled with helium and wrapped in flannel cloth with naphthalene balls.
8. The time taken to prepare the constitution:
It took around 2 years, 11 months, and 18 days to create the Indian Constitution.
