Bollywood sensation Alia Bhatt has not only captivated audiences with her stellar performances but has now taken the beauty world by storm. In a video with Allure Magazine, the actress revealed her minimalist 10-minute makeup routine to achieve the coveted 'sunburnt glow,' embracing her bare-faced, unfiltered beauty.
Eschewing traditional foundation, Alia opts for a sheer skin tint blended with a hydrating primer, creating the ideal base for her 'sunburnt glow' look. The actress explains her inspiration, saying, "You know that feeling that you get after being in the sun all day where you’re tired, but there’s this glow on your face and you are naturally flushed — you just look like a child of the earth?"
Emphasising the use of hands for application, Alia shares, "I feel I get better coverage when I’m using my hands. And for me, it’s not really about the coverage. I want the skin to kind of look like skin. I love to show my freckles off."
The routine unfolds with a creamy concealer to address minor blemishes, followed by the application of a peachy cheek colour. Alia's unique technique involves creating a C curve with the cheek colour, extending it over the nose, and finishing with a W shape, including the chin for a sun-kissed effect. "The trick here is to not stop it on the cheek," she advises.
To enhance the sun-kissed vibe, Alia incorporates a contour stick and powder under her eyes, effortlessly setting the makeup. Her eye makeup involves a mix-and-match approach with an eyeshadow palette, followed by the curling of lashes and the strategic use of mascara for that perfect lift.
The routine takes a glamorous turn with the application of a highlighter for a subtle glow, concluding with a lipstick that she dabs off to achieve a tinted look. Alia’s finishing touch involves a lip balm, leaving her with a fresh and radiant appearance.
