Zareen Khan Snaps At Paps For Clicking Her From Behind: 'Mujhe Dekho, Ye Nahi'
Zareen Khan called out paparazzi in Mumbai for photographing her from behind, echoing recent concerns by Gauahar Khan and Pragya Jaiswal.

Actor Zareen Khan, who made her Bollywood debut with Veer, was recently clicked by paparazzi while out in Mumbai with her team.
While she greeted photographers warmly and posed for pictures, things took a turn when cameras continued rolling as she walked away. Clearly uncomfortable, Zareen turned back and addressed the paps, saying: “Mujhe dekho, ye nahi (Look at me, not here),” pointing toward her back.

Zareen’s reaction comes shortly after Gauahar Khan publicly addressed similar behaviour by certain paparazzi during an appearance by Pragya Jaiswal. At a recent event, Pragya—dressed in a black bodycon dress—faced uncomfortable behaviour from the paps, including hooting and inappropriate noises as she walked away.
Gauahar Khan Slams Pap Culture After Pragya Jaiswal Incident
Taking to Instagram, Gauahar wrote, “Aren’t the paps encouraging eve-teasing culture? It’s not the first time. There are a lot of them who are respectful, but there are also many who constantly make lewd comments. I think this needs to be called out. Lines can’t be crossed.”
Once launched as a fresh face opposite Salman Khan in Veer (2010), Zareen Khan's career has had its share of ups and downs. Constant comparisons to Katrina Kaif and public scrutiny affected her deeply. On Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiyaa’s podcast, she revealed:
"There was a time I was even scared to step out of my house because people would comment on my clothes… I wanted to just sit at home. They all saw me as a failure."
She added that post-Veer, she struggled to land work and had trouble paying bills. It wasn’t until the success of the song ‘Character Dheela’ in Ready that perceptions began to change.
"I don’t come from a wealthy household, I am the sole breadwinner of my house," she said. "Then Hate Story came, but it was a very weird time in my life."
Despite the tense moment, Zareen served major summer fashion goals in a lemon yellow chikankari kurta paired with denim and jhumkas. Her hair left open, the actor looked effortlessly chic as she stepped out in Mumbai.
Zareen Khan was last seen in the 2021 film Hum Bhi Akele Tum Bhi Akele and continues to make headlines, both for her candid takes and public appearances.
