T-Series Creates World Record, Becomes First YouTube Channel To Surpass 200 Million Subscribers

T-Series has become the first YouTube channel to cross 200 million subscribers.

New Delhi: Indian music record label and film production company T-Series has created a new world record. Founded by Gulshan Kumar, T-Series has become the first YouTube channel to cross 200 million subscribers.

T-Series shared the news on their Twitter and wrote, “World’s NO. 1 Youtube channel, T-Series has hit 200 million subscribers, becoming the 1st channel in the world to ever reach this landmark! It's a proud moment for the entire country that an Indian channel sits at the top of YouTube in the world. #TSeriesHits200MilSubs”.

Actress Sara Ali Khan also shared a video in one of her Instagram stories congratulating the owner of T-Series Bhushan Kumar. She posted a video featuring Bhushan and shared the news in her own style.

T-Series was founded by Gulshan Kumar on July 11, 1983, who was a fruit seller in Delhi at that time. He was murdered in the year 1997, and since then, the company is being run by his younger brother Krishan Kumar and son Bhushan Kumar. His daughters Tulsi Kumar and Khushali Kumar are also playback singers.

Primarily featuring content in Hindi, T-Series also has other channels dedicated to other languages including Bhojpuri, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Gujarati, Marathi and Rajasthani.
