Hrithik Roshan Wraps Up War 2 Shoot With NTR Jr And Ayan Mukerji, Shares Celebration Photo

War 2 starring Hrithik Roshan, NTR Jr, and Kiara Advani wraps up filming. Directed by Ayan Mukerji, the spy thriller will hit theatres worldwide on August 14, 2025.

Yash Raj Films’ much-awaited spy universe installment, 'War 2', has officially completed its shoot. The final schedule saw a grand dance number filmed featuring Hrithik Roshan and NTR Jr, choreographed by Bosco Martis and directed by Ayan Mukerji, marking a vibrant end to the film’s production.

The mood on set was celebratory, with the lead actors and crew members commemorating the milestone with a cake-cutting ceremony. Hrithik was seen thanking every crew member personally for their efforts. Post-wrap, the actor hosted an intimate dinner at his home for co-stars NTR Jr and Kiara Advani, director Ayan Mukerji, and the core YRF team.

'A Mixed Bag of Emotions': Hrithik Roshan Pens Emotional Note for War 2 Wrap

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Hrithik Roshan expressed his feelings about wrapping up the intense shoot. “Feeling a mixed bag of emotions as the cameras stopped rolling for #War2. 149 days of relentless chase, action, dance, blood, sweat, injuries… and it was all WORTH IT!” he wrote.

Hrithik also shared his admiration for NTR Jr, calling it “an honor to work alongside” him, and praised Kiara Advani for her powerful performance: “I’m so excited for the world to witness the lethal side of you.”

Reflecting on his character Kabir Dhaliwal, Hrithik added, “It’s always bitter-sweet to call it a wrap for Kabir. It will take a couple of days to feel like myself again.” He signed off with a nod to the film’s release: “Now onto the journey of presenting our film to you all on August 14th, 2025.”

Kabir Returns: Darker, Bulkier, Deadlier in War 2

Hrithik’s character, Major Kabir Dhaliwal, became a fan favorite after 'War' (2019) turned into a box office juggernaut. In this sequel, Kabir is said to return with a transformative arc, appearing darker, more menacing, and physically intense.

Directed by Ayan Mukerji and produced by Aditya Chopra under the Yash Raj Films banner, 'War 2' stars Hrithik Roshan, NTR Jr, and Kiara Advani in lead roles. With IMAX screens also part of the film’s release plan, it’s set for a wide global rollout on August 14, 2025.

A Spy Universe Showdown Awaits

'War 2' is a pivotal chapter in YRF’s growing spy universe, following films like Pathaan, Tiger 3, and War. The film brings together a high-octane mix of espionage, action, and intense drama, with the added buzz of Hrithik Roshan and NTR Jr sharing screen space for the first time.
