Attending a YouWeCan charity soirée in London, Kohli found himself seated among an eclectic mix of VIPs. When travel blogger‑comedian Sumit Sapra caught his eye from across the room, the cricketer greeted him with a broad grin and wave. And there is a sense of normalcy that both of us work… Conditioning is the most important role in how we see the world. I come from a progressive background, so that will always be a part of our home. Love is the underlying factor in our home, and what’s important to us is that our child be respectful of people. You have to create that value structure. We don’t want to raise brats.”

Kohli and Sharma wed on December 11, 2017, in an intimate ceremony overlooking Lake Como. They welcomed Vamika on January 11, 2021, and added baby Akaay to the family on February 15, 2024.
