Vijay Deverakonda Wears Chappals To 'Liger' Trailer Launch, Ranveer Singh Trolls Him 

The trailer of Vijay Deverakonda's upcoming pan-India film ‘Liger’ was launched on Thursday. Ranveer Singh was present at the trailer launch in Mumbai.

New Delhi: The trailer of Vijay Deverakonda's upcoming pan-India film ‘Liger’ was launched on Thursday. Ranveer Singh was present at the trailer launch in Mumbai.  

Vijay, who had launched the film’s trailer in Hyderabad in the morning, flew to Mumbai for the Hindi trailer launch in the evening. The actor wore a black t-shirt with ‘The’ written on it, he paired it with beige cargo pants. What caught everyone’s attention including Ranveer Singh was Vijay’s white chappals. 

Ranveer Singh jokingly said, “Bhai ka style dekho, aise lag raha hai, ye mere trailer launch pe aaya hai ya main inke trailer launch pe aaya hu (Look at brother's style, it looks like, he has come to my trailer launch instead of me coming to his trailer launch).” 

Ranveer was in his usual high-energy avatar and danced along with Ananya Pandey and Vijay to the tune of 'Akdi Pakdi'. 

The on-stage banter between Vijay and Ranveer made Karan Johar, who was also present there as the producer of the film, think of making a film casting both the actors together. 
 
Praising the trailer, while interacting with Vijay, Ranveer said, "I think this is the time for masala films, and the audience is loving mass entertainers all over. This film is exactly that and I can't wait to watch the film sitting as the audience in the theatre. I love mass entertainers and I think all the love I got, is because of this brand of cinema. Vijay is gonna rock it!"  

Vijay will be seen playing an MMA artist in the film that marks his debut in the Hindi film industry. ‘Liger’ also marks the Bollywood debut of Mike Tyson.  

Written, directed, and produced by Puri Jagannadh is co-produced by Karan Johar and Charmme Kaur. The film, which has been shot simultaneously in Telugu and Hindi, is slated to release on August 25, 2022.
