Thor Love and Thunder Weekend Box Office Collection: Most Successful Thor Movie Earns ₹64.80 cr 

Chris Hemsworth’s ‘Thor: Love and Thunder’ has become the most successful movie in the Thor franchise and has recorded an excellent opening weekend at the Indian box office.

The film, which also stars Christian Bale as the antagonist, marked the fifth-biggest opening day for any Hollywood film in India.

‘Thor: Love and Thunder’ release: Chris Hemsworth’s latest has become the most successful movie in the Thor franchise and has recorded an excellent opening weekend at the Indian box office. The film collected ₹64.80 crore in its first weekend. On Sunday, the film earned ₹18.20 crore. 

The film, which stars Christian Bale as the antagonist, marked the fifth-biggest opening day for any Hollywood film in India. 

Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted about the film’s box office performance in India. He wrote: “#ThorLoveAndThunder has an excellent [extended] Weekend 1... Day 3 and 4 were back to Day 1 levels... Fifth biggest *opening weekend* [#Hollywood films]... Thu 18.20 cr, Fri 11.40 cr, Sat 16.80 cr, Sun 18.40 cr. Total: ₹ 64.80 cr. #India biz. NBOC. All versions.” 

Oscar-winner Taika Waititi’s big-ticket cosmic adventure stars our favourite Avenger Thor aka Chris Hemsworth and a stellar ensemble cast: Tessa Thompson, Natalie Portman, and Christian Bale who makes his BIG MCU debut as Gorr the God Butcher. 

At a reported $250 million, the film also has the biggest production budget out of all the Thor films made so far. 

Marvel Studios’ Thor: Love and Thunder is currently in theatres across India in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam. 

The film follows Thor, who embarks on a journey, unlike anything he has ever faced — a quest for inner peace. However, his retirement gets interrupted by Gorr the God Butcher, a galactic killer who seeks the extinction of the gods.
