Sunil Grover Shares His Health Update Post Heart Surgery

Sunil Grover, an actor and comedian, resorted to social media a few days after undergoing heart surgery to give an update on his health condition.

New Delhi: Actor-comedian Sunil Grover who recently underwent a heart surgery following a small heart attack has thanked his supporters on social media on Thursday. 

Sunil who is now recuperating at his home following four bypass surgeries,  took to his Twitter account and said, "Bhai treatment theek ho Gaya, Meri chal rahi hai healing, Aap sab ki duaaon ke liye, Gratitude hai meri feeling! Thoko taali!”.

Last week, Sunil was discharged from the Asian Heart Institute in Mumbai after undergoing four bypass surgeries. PTI reported that his diagnosis was a ‘very minor heart episode (NSTEMI) as heart enzyme (troponin T) level was elevated’. He was also said to have tested positive for Covid-19.

Sunil's cardiogram revealed "blockages in all three arteries." On January 8, he went to see a doctor for the first time. He had a heart surgery on January 27 and was released seven days later.

Sunil Grover’s condition has also piqued the interest of other celebrities. Sunil Grover's heart operation surprised Kapil Sharma and Ali Asgar. Salman Khan also requested his team of medical staff to check on Sunil's condition.

Gauahar Khan, who co-starred with Sunil in the Amazon Prime series Tandav, retweeted him and wrote, "Health and prosperity, we love u Sunil !"

Sunil Grover is best known for shows such as Comedy Circus, Comedy Nights With Kapil and The Kapil Sharma Show. He has also starred in films such as Pataakha and Bharat.
