Shubhangi to replace Shilpa Shinde in 'Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai'

Mumbai: Well-known television actress Shubhangi Atre will essay the role of 'Angoori Bhabhi' in the show "Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai". After actress Shilpa Shinde, who played the role of 'Angoori' had quit the show, the makers were in search for her replacement. "Shubhangi Atre is an ideal combination of innocence and attractiveness. She is a fabulous actress and I think she will make an exceptional 'Angoori Bhabhi' and will capture everyone's heart with ease," producer Benaifer Kohli said in a statement issued here. Shubhangi is known for her roles in "Kasturi" and "Do Hanson Ka Jodaa". Shilpa had sparked a controversy when she announced that she had quit "Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai" and accused the makers of mentally torturing her. According to Shilpa, the problem started when the makers wanted her to sign a contract which would bar her from doing other shows. Reportedly she was approached for a comedy show of Kapil Sharma.On the other hand, the makers had alleged unprofessional behaviour on Shilpa's part and said the actress had demanded a pay hike and wanted her own designers on the show. The popular sitcom "Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai" is aired on &TV.
