Shark Tank India: Namita Thapar Alleges Her ‘Educated Househelp’ Shared Hateful Posts From Her Phone

Namita Thapar of Shark Tank claims that her househelp posted a disrespectful remark on her Instagram account.

New Delhi: Namita Thapar, a 'Shark Tank India' judge, posted a tweet in which she claimed that her "educated house help" had stolen her phone and posted a hateful remark on her social media account. Namita was pictured at home in a now-deleted Instagram Story from her account. It begged her followers to unfollow her and claimed to have been written by one of her two sons, Jai or Veeru.

Namita Thapar posted a message on Twitter on Saturday night with the caption,“This is what hate does to this world, makes people toxic. An educated house help who was removed stole my phone & put a hateful post on me on social media. Price of being a public figure! Apologies!”

On Namita's Instagram Stories on Saturday, a post had appeared. Namita was pictured at home wearing a blue nightgown.

“This is Namita's son. I just want the world to know that the person you see on TV is not you think she is. Unfollow her as soon as possible. Will explain why in due course of time," the caption read.

Many suspicions were raised online, and internet users asserted that it was unlikely to be her housekeeper.

Namita Thapar is one of the sharks on 'Shark Tank India', a show modelled after the Shark Tank USA tv series. The show has returned with a second season following a popular first one.
