New Delhi: Star Plus has several new shows in pipeline, be it Jasmin Bhasin starrer ‘Dil Toh Happy Hai Ji’ or supernatural drama ‘Divya Drishti’. As per the norm in TV industry, the channel will axe non-performing shows to make room for new ones. As per the latest buzz, Mariam Khan – Reporting Live, which recently took a leap, might bid adieu to the viewers soon. The show, which stars Mahima Makwana and Param Singh as Mariam and Fawad respectively, has failed to strike a chord with the viewers. A report in an entertainment portal suggested that ‘Mariam Khan’ will go off air sometime next month. The channel has asked the makers Somersault Productions to improve ratings or ship out, as per the report in IWMBuzz. Mahima and Param have managed to impress fans with their chemistry and the ratings even increased but the show is still under scanner. To begin with, Mariam Khan, which replaced ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ at 7:30pm slot, never boasted of great ratings. The show underwent a change in its storyline post the leap but failed to garner eyeballs. SHOCKING! THIS Star Plus show to go off air in January 2019?
