CONFIRMED: Shashank Vyas to play the grown-up Roop

New Delhi: Rashmi Sharma’s Roop-Mard Ka Naya Swaroop is all set for a time leap on Colors TV. The daily soap, which was launched on May 28, stars Affan Khan, Yash Tonk and Mitali Nag in lead roles. There have been a lot of speculations over the actor who will play the the role of grown-up Roop in the show. Several names like Shashank Vyas, Shivin Narang and Shardul Pandit were floating in the media. It seems the makers of the show have finally zeroed down a name to play the lead role. And the actor is none other than Shashank Vyas, a report in a leading daily said. Shashank, who was last seen in Jaana Na Dil Se Door, will return to Colors TV with the show. The talented actor is still fondly known for his role of Jagdish in the channel’s popular show Balika Vadhu.

Speculations are rife that the track of the show will seen a change after the time leap. Post the time leap, Roop will be seen as a ghar jamai. The storyline will be loosely based on the lines of the Kareena Kapoor Khan and Arjun Kapoor-starrer, 'Ki & Ka'. It will be a love triangle. A set, which will house the lead girl and her family, is being erected behind the Singhs' house," a source close to the project informed Times Of India.
