After Monalisa, Kalki Koechlin to play 'daayan' in upcoming 'Star Plus' show?
After launching 'Qayamat Ki Raat', leading GEC 'Star Plus' is set to experiment with the supernatural genre again with Gul Khan's upcoming show 'Nazar'. As reported earlier, ex 'Bigg Boss' contestant Monalisa has been roped in to play the main antagonist, who is a 'daayan' (witch) in 'Nazar'. Now according to latest buzz, there will also be a 'mahadaayan' in the show & the makers are looking for a Bollywood actress for the role.

According to a leading daily, 'Nazar' makers are already in talks with versatile Bollywood actress Kalki Koechlin for the cameo role & she might be seen playing a 'mahadaayan' in the show.

Speaking about the same, a source told DNA that, “Kalki played one of the lead roles in the film Ek Thi Daayan. So, the makers feel it will be apt to begin the serial with her. They want her to play the mahadaayan, who rules their world. It is a five-minute cameo and they are already in talks with her.”

'Nazar' will replace 'Har Shaakh Pe Ullu Baithaa Hai' & will go on-air from 30th July at 8pm. The show revolves around 'daayans' and features Niyati Fatnani, Smita Bansal, Harsh Rajput, Ishita Dhawan, Kapil Soni among others. The show's promo is already on air. Check it out below:
Kalki Koechlin has not yet reacted on the same. But if she said 'yes' to 'Nazar', then the upcoming 'Star Plus' show will mark her TV debut.
On the film front, Kalki will next be seen in Zoya Akhtar's next 'Gully Boy' featuring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt in leads.
