Taapsee talks to Anupama Chopra in Film Compilation exclusively on how nepotism continues to affect her and how she created her own ecosystem of filmmakers.

New Delhi: Taapsee Pannu is well-known for her exceptional acting skills. Her career is filled with strong female characters who are fierce, strong and complicated. Looop Lapeta, her latest film, is no exception.

'Loop Lapeta' is a remake of the German film 'Run Lola Run'. The character of Taapsee ( Savi ) is forced to deliver 50 lakhs in 50 minutes when her boyfriend Satya, ( played by Tahir Raj Bhasin ) loses a gangster's money.

In a recent interview, Taapsee talks to Anupama Chopra in Film Compilation exclusively on how nepotism continues to affect her and how she created her own ecosystem of filmmakers.

She highlighted in the interview how nepotism continues to affect her even after more than a decade in the Indian film business. The actress stated that when she first entered Bollywood, she struggled to secure excellent roles and that even now that she is a well-known figure in the industry, she still struggles with "affordability."

Taapsee said, "Tomorrow if a writer comes to me with a certain subject or there's a genre that I really want to explore, which a certain production house or director is known to be good at, my reach to them, or for them to listen to me isn't all that smooth when compared to a star kid."

She asserted that this is still an issue for her at this point and that it is no longer a question of a role. The Thappad actress went on to explain that she needs to develop her own ecosystem of filmmakers she has worked with and will work with again.

The movie “Loop Lapeta” is available on Netflix.
