Bobby Deol took home the ‘Best Actor’ award for his performance in the web series ‘Aashram’ at the Dadasaheb Phalke Awards 2021. Bobby Deol took to his social media and shared a picture with his mother Prakash Kaur.

Bollywood actor Bobby Deol recently won big at the ‘Dadasaheb Phalke Awards 2021’. Bobby took home the ‘Best Actor’ award for his performance in the web series ‘Aashram’. The Dadasaheb Phalke Awards this year took place in Mumbai on February 21, 2021.

Soon after he received the award, Bobby Deol took to his social media and shared a picture with his mother Prakash Kaur with the award in his hand. While sharing the post, the ‘Soldier’ actor wrote, “o be in this moment with my mother #dpiffawards #dpiff2021”

Many celebrities including Preity Zinta, Abhay Deol and others congratulated Bobby Deol. Preity Zinta commented, “Bobby DDDDDD.... So happy for you my darling  Truly well deserved !!!”, while Bobby’s cousin Abhay Deol wrote, “so happy!”

The ‘Badal’ actor’s brother Sunny Deol shared this adorable mother-son picture from his official Instagram account and wrote, “Proud Mother Admiring Her Son.”

Meanwhile, Bobby Deol started his career with the 1995 film ‘Barsaat’ as a lead actor. This movie also marked the debut of Twinkle Khanna. Bobby earlier appeared as a child actor in the film ‘Dharam Veer’. The ‘Aashram’ actor then went on to star in several other movies including Gupt, Soldier, Badal, Bichhoo, Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya, Ajnabee, Humraaz and others.

Son of veteran actor Dharmendra and the younger brother of Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol made his comeback in Bollywood in the year 2017 with the movie ‘Poster Boys’ after a break of almost 4 years. This movie marked the directorial venture of Bollywood actor Shreyas Talpade. He then starred in movies like ‘Race 3’, ‘Class of 83’ and others. His performance in the web series ‘Aashram’ has been highly appreciated by both the critics and audience.
