New Delhi: 'Vettaiyan' advance bookings have begun. The Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan starrer is all set to hit theatres on October 10, 2024 and the advance bookings have begun to a roaring response. Directed by TJ Gnanavel, the film is an action entertainer with an ensemble cast starring the likes of Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh, Abhirami besides Amitabh Bachchan and Rajinikanth.

The advance bookings of 'Vettaiyan' opened on Sunday and the advance booking collections have gone out in record time. As per an ETimes rpeort, the multiplexes are already fully pre-booked for the release date, Oct 11. 

Trade analysts have also predicted that the pre-booking sales number for 'Vettaiyan' will be setting a record considering the fact that Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan are coming together after 33 years. 

As per FilmiBeat, in Tamil Nadu alone the film has grossed Rs. 5.5. cr, Rs. 50 lakh in Kerala by selling 26k tickets for day 1. The film has also already made 5$ million in the US in pre-sales.

Reportedly, the film will gross Rs. 125 cr worldwide on Day 1 of its release, and is expected to cross Rs. 250 cr in the first weekend itself.

The excitement and buzz around the film has led to an increase in pre-booking sales. As per a News 18 report, one of the theatres in Chennai, AGS Cinemas T Nagar, is already pre-booked on Thursday.

'Vettaiyan' has been directed by TJ Gnanavel and produced by Lyca Productions. The film also marks the Tamil debut of Mr. Bachchan.

'Vettaiyan' has been shot in several locations including Thiruvananthapuram, Tirunelveli, Chennai, Mumbai, and Hyderabad. With music by Anirudh Ravichander, cinematography handled by S. R. Kathir and editing by Philomin Raj, this grand spectacle of a Rajinikanth film is all set to set the box office on fire upon its release.

It will be released on the occasion of Vijaya Dashami, October 11, 2024 in theatres.
