It’s not every day that a superstar becomes a fanboy, but that’s exactly what happened when Malayalam icon Mohanlal received a signed jersey from none other than football legend Lionel Messi.

It’s not every day that a superstar becomes a fanboy, but that’s exactly what happened when Malayalam icon Mohanlal received a signed jersey from none other than football legend Lionel Messi. The actor, who enjoys a massive fan base himself, took to social media to share his excitement over receiving this priceless gift.

Mohanlal posts a video of a signed jersey by Lionel Messi

In a video posted on his Instagram handle, Messi is signing the jersey, creating a memory that the actor clearly cherishes deeply. The clip also features Mohanlal beaming with pride as he poses with the jersey — now one of his most treasured belongings.

Describing the surreal moment, Mohanlal wrote, “Some moments in life feel too profound for words. They stay with you forever. Today, I experienced one of those moments. As I gently unwrapped the gift, my heart skipped a beat—a jersey signed by the legend himself, Lionel Messi. And there it was… my name, written in his own hand.”

The actor didn’t stop there. Expressing his heartfelt gratitude, he added, For someone who has long admired Messi, not just for his brilliance on the field but for his humility and grace, this was truly special. This incredible moment wouldn’t have been possible without the kindness of two dear friends: Dr. Rajeev Mangottil and Rajesh Philip. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. And above all, thank you, God, for this unforgettable gift.”
