The much-anticipated action-comedy ‘Revolver Rita’, starring National Award-winning actress Keerthy Suresh, is set to release globally on August 27, coinciding with Vinayaka Chaturthi. The announcement was made on Wednesday by The Route Official, one of the film’s producers, via social media.

Sharing the update with fans, the production house posted a video clip on Instagram and captioned it, "Revolver Rita is all set to fire away on August 27." The post has already stirred excitement among moviegoers, who have been eagerly waiting for news on the film's arrival.

Buzz around Revolver Rita began earlier this year with the release of its intriguing title teaser. In it, Keerthy Suresh’s character is seen shopping for vegetables when a group of thugs steals her handbag. Their victory is short-lived, as they discover a revolver, a blood-stained knife, and a bomb inside the bag.

Shortly after, Keerthy storms into their hideout, demanding her bag back. The bewildered criminals ask if she’s a RAW agent, a gangster, or a cop. She dodges the question. Just then, a phone call from her mother, played by Radikaa Sarathkumar, adds a comic twist. Her mom asks about the tomatoes for cooking, to which Keerthy replies, "Keep the stove on sim and I am on my way."

Directed by J.K. Chandru, Revolver Rita is backed by producers Sudhan Sundaram and Jagadish Palanisamy. The film features an ensemble cast including Sunil, Ajay Ghosh, Redin Kingsley, Super Subbarayan, and John Vijay.
