Jailer 2 teaser: Superstar Rajinikanth is officially returning to the silver screen with 'Jailer 2', the sequel to the blockbuster action entertainer Jailer. Directed by Nelson and produced by Sun Pictures, the announcement was made through a teaser released during  Pongal. 

Sharing the teaser on social media, Sun Pictures wrote, "Sun Pictures proudly presents #Jailer2 starring Superstar @rajinikanth. Alapparai Kelappurom, Thalaivar Nerandharam."

The teaser, a mix of humour and action, begins with a radio announcement about an approaching cyclone. Meanwhile, music director Anirudh and director Nelson are seen having a playful conversation in Goa, supposedly brainstorming ideas for Nelson’s next project. Their lighthearted banter soon takes a dramatic turn as chaos unfolds. 

The scene shifts to a room where people are violently attacked, creating an atmosphere of tension and thrill. Amid the mayhem, a blurry silhouette of Rajinikanth makes a grand entry, neutralizing threats with his trademark style. As he steps outside to confront more adversaries, the intensity builds further, leaving Anirudh awestruck. He quips to Nelson, "This looks fearsome Nelsa! Let’s make this into a film!" 

About Jailer 

The original Jailer, released in 2023, was a massive success, earning ₹650 crores globally and receiving widespread acclaim. The film boasted a star-studded cast, including Malayalam icon Mohanlal, Kannada legend Shiva Rajkumar, Bollywood actor Jackie Shroff, and many others.
