New Delhi: ‘Dragon’, the highly awaited Tamil coming-of-age comedy and romance drama directed by Pradeep Ranganathan, premiered on February 21, 2025, and fans have been raving about it online ever since. Viewers seem to be enjoying the film so far, with many applauding the compelling plot and Ranganathan's outstanding performance in the early reviews posted on X (previously Twitter).

The movie tells the story of Ragavan, a college student who spirals into the world of financial fraud after a painful breakup. As he ventures into dangerous territory in his pursuit of wealth and power, the film explores themes of love.

An ensemble cast including Kayadu Lohar, Anupama Parameswaran, Mysskin, George Maryan, Gautham Vasudev Menon, and KS Ravikumar featured in ‘Dragon’, which was produced by Kalpathi S Suresh and directed by Ashwath Marimuthu. Niketh Bommireddy's colourful cinematography and editor Pradeep E Ragav's editing helped uplift the quality of ‘Dragon’.

Based on initial estimates, the film grossed Rs 2.02 crore on its first day, with a production expenditure of Rs 37 crore. Trichy had the highest occupancy rate at 62%, while Chennai came in at 53.50%. 'Dragon' is going to be a hit in Tamil cinema because of its captivating plot and superb acting.
