Sonakshi Sinha Says She Can't Imagine 'Hera Pheri 3' Without Paresh Rawal

Sonakshi Sinha shares her thoughts on veteran actor Paresh Rawal’s unexpected exit from 'Hera Pheri 3', calling him an irreplaceable part of the franchise.

New Delhi: Sonakshi Sinha is gearing up for the release of her supernatural thriller 'Nikita Roy', where she stars alongside veteran actor Paresh Rawal. While promoting the film, she opened up about how special it was to work with him for the first time, and also shared her thoughts on his recent exit from the Hera Pheri franchise, a development that has disappointed many fans.

Speaking to IANS, Sonakshi admitted she simply cannot picture 'Hera Pheri 3' without Paresh Rawal. The actress added that his presence is crucial in preserving the charm of the franchise, which has remained one of Bollywood’s most iconic comedies.

Rawal’s exit from 'Hera Pheri 3' was confirmed by the actor himself in May. Addressing speculation around the move, he took to X (formerly Twitter) to share an official statement. “I wish to put it on record that my decision to step away from Hera Pheri 3 was not due to creative differences. I reiterate that there are no creative disagreements with the filmmaker. I hold immense love, respect, and faith in Mr Priyadarshan the film director,” Rawal wrote.

With Paresh Rawal stepping away from the Hera Pheri franchise, fans and industry peers alike are left wondering whether the beloved comedy series will ever feel the same again.

Sonakshi also shared how meaningful it was to finally work with the legendary actor. “Fantastic. I think it was such an honour for me to share screen space with an actor of his calibre. And, you know, in terms of his body of work and how amazing he is, it was an amazing experience for me,” she said.

'Nikita Roy' marks the directorial debut of Sonakshi’s brother, Kussh S Sinha, and is scheduled to release in cinemas on 27 June 2025. The film also stars Arjun Rampal and Suhail Nayyar.
