Shaheen Bhatt Responds To Speculations About Alia's Pregnancy Before Marriage

Alia Bhatt surprised everyone in June by announcing her pregnancy after four months of marriage. Here's what sister Shaheen has to say.

New Delhi: Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor surprised everyone in June by announcing they were expecting a child. Many speculated that the actress became pregnant before they were married. Alia Bhatt's sister Shaheen Bhatt has replied to comments that were made about the actress getting pregnant before her wedding. In a recent interview, Shaheen Bhatt also addressed the rumours that Alia would retire from acting because she is eager to have a family.

Shaheen spoke up to News 18 about her life, including her sister Alia Bhatt's wedding, pregnancy, and career. In response to the rumours, Shaheen told News 18, “I will not speak for her (Alia) because that is her own journey. Anything that she has dealt with internally is completely her journey. Having said that, you can never really please everybody. There is always going to be a negative comment or two out there.”

According to Shaheen, they've all learned to prioritise what's important and tune out the rest thanks to their high profile lifestyles. She said, “I think living in the public eye, we are all very practised at knowing what to pay heed to and what not to focus on.”

She added, “It has been a wonderful year for our family in that sense. It has grown tremendously this past year. There is only more joy and happiness to come our way and I am looking forward to that.”

The Bhatt sisters, Alia and Shaheen, have their own production company called Eternal Sunshine Productions. Their first film was 'Darlings', which starred Alia Bhatt, Shefali Shah, and Vijay Varma.

After a lengthy courtship, Alia and Ranbir Kapoor got married on April 14, 2022. They tied the knot in a small, intimate ceremony in Mumbai. Following just two months of marriage, the couple announced in June that they are ready to have parents.

We are ready to see junior Kapoor soon!
