Pori Moni Alleged Drug Case: Police Gets 2 More Days To Interrogate

Reportedly, a court in Dhaka has granted two more days to the police to interrogate Pori Moni and three others in the alleged drug case.

New Delhi: Dhallywood actress Pori Moni was arrested by Bangladesh’s anti-terrorism and anti-crime force Rapid Action Battalion earlier this month. The popular film actress of Bangladesh was detained by RAB after raiding her residence in Dhaka reportedly.

According to a report in Dhaka Tribune, the RAB team has been preparing to start multiple case against Moni under the Narcotics Control Act.

Now, according to the latest report of Dhaka Tribune, a court in Dhaka has granted two more days to the police to interrogate Pori Moni and three others in the alleged drug case. Special Superintendent Azad Rahman of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) told the media that the investigators have filed a petition for a 5-day remand, further read the report.

Also, according to a report in Dhaka Tribune, Pori Moni claimed that she has been framed. Reportedly, she shouted while walking out of the court and said, “The media is seeing everything but not doing anything, while I'm being framed.”

Meanwhile, the RAB carried out the raid at Pori Moni’s residence 2 days after Bangladeshi models - Faria Mahbub Piasha and Mou Akter were arrested on blackmail charges. According to a report of PTI, during the raid, liquor and narcotics substance were recovered from Moni’s house.

On a related note, Pori Moni also made headlines for accusing a businessman of rape and murder earlier this year.
