TV actress and mother of the minor complainant in the Pearl V Puri alleged rape case has been granted anticipatory bail. The senior actress was made an accused in the POCSO case.

In a report published in TOI, advocate of the actress confirmed the news and said, "My client's interim relief by the Hon’ble Sessions Court has been confirmed. My client has been made an accused in the POCSO case and hence she has approached the court. My client has cooperated with the investigation and has given her say. The court based on the Documents has confirmed the order.''

Earlier, TV actor Pearl Puri, who was arrested on charges of alleged molestation and rape of a 5-year-old girl was granted bail on June 15.

Pearl was arrested on June 4 for molestation of a minor girl on the set of his tv serial in 2019. Following a complaint by the victim's family, the Waliv Police had arrested Puri, following which he was remanded to 14 days' judicial custody, creating a sensation in the entertainment industry.

The alleged molestation incident for which Pearl was arrested took place in 2019 during the shoot of his television show, Bepanah Pyaarr. The girl is the daughter of an actor, who was Pearl's co-star.

Pearl's friends from the industry had been campaigning for his release in a case which they say is false. Pearl too had recently shared a post on how the whole incident affected him in a hard-hitting Instagram post.

Hailing from Chhindwara, Madhya Pradesh, Puri (31) has acted in several commercials and teleserials, including 'Naagin 3', Badatameez Dil, Nagarjuna, Bepannah Pyaar. Not only this he has also been part of reality shows such as Kitchen Champion 5, Khatra Khatra Khatra and Box Cricket League 4. He was last seen in supernatural show Brahmarakshas 2.
