'The Mehta Boys' On OTT: Boman Irani’s Directorial Debut To Release This February

OTT giant Prime Video announces the release date for Boman Irani's directorial debut, 'The Mehta Boys'.

New Delhi: ‘The Mehta Boys’, a much-awaited original film, will debut on Prime Video on February 7, 2025. Leading actors Boman Irani, Avinash Tiwary, Shreya Chaudhry, and Puja Sarup are featured in this film which was produced by Irani Movietone in association with Chalkboard Entertainment. ‘The Mehta Boys’ is an emotionally engaging look at family relationships with universal themes and moving performances.

The film explores the nuances of family relationships via the lens of a father and son who, opposing one other, are compelled to spend a day together. With the caption "48 hours 2 people 1 epic story #TheMehtaBoysOnPrime, Feb 7," Boman Irani expressed his enthusiasm for the film's impending release on January 23 on Instagram.

At the 15th Chicago South Asian Film Festival in September 2024, 'The Mehta Boys' had their international debut and won praise from critics. Boman Irani won the Best Actor Male prize at the International Film Festival of South Asia (IFFSA) in Toronto for his portrayal in the movie. For his exceptional effort, he also received the South Asian Film Association (SAFA) award at the Chicago South Asian Film Festival.
