Mumbai NCB Files A Chargesheet Against Bharti Singh And Haarsh Limbachiya

Mumbai NCB (Narcotics Control Bureau) has presented the court with a 200-page chargesheet against comedian Bharti Singh and her husband.

New Delhi: Mumbai NCB (Narcotics Control Bureau) has presented the court with a 200-page chargesheet against comedian Bharti Singh and her husband, Harsh Limbachiya. A drug-related arrest was made in 2020, and they are now free on bail.

The NCB seized 86.5 gms of marijuana during a search on Bharti Singh and her husband's home on November 21, 2020. The search was carried out as part of NCB's investigation into allegations of drug usage within the entertainment industry.

The pair were detained and taken to court, where they were ordered to remain in judicial detention until December 4.

However, after getting out of jail in the amount of Rs 15,000 each, the couple was released from custody.

After the suicide of actor Sushant Singh Rajput in June 2020, the NCB began an investigation into the widespread drug usage in Bollywood based on drug-related WhatsApp messages.

Earlier, under the NDPS Act, the central agency also detained Rajput's girlfriend, actress Rhea Chakraborty, as well as her brother Showik.
